CIO Think Tanks bring together some of the greatest minds in business technology to present cutting-edge products, services and ideas. Atish Banerjea, SVP and chief technology officer at Dex One, was invited to present at the Media and Entertainment Think Tank in New York City on May 23, 2012.
Banerjea shared how Dex One’s digital and IT strategy is helping to accelerate digital growth – which contributed to 32 percent digital revenue growth in Q1 2012 – while enhancing the consumer experience across multiple channels. He noted key technology priorities including enterprise architecture, Agile development, open platforms and scalability.
Attendees in the intimate, face-to-face think tank environment were leaders representing notable media and entertainment companies, including A&E Networks, Time Warner, Disney ABC Television, NBC Universal, HBO, U.S. Golf Association and others. Industry leading analysts like Gartner were also present. Banerjea emphasized to the group that Dex One considers its employees a key asset, and promotes a culture of communication and collaboration amongst its fast paced development teams. Dex One IT teams have successfully embraced an innovative “start-up” culture within the framework of a large corporation and have transitioned to an Agile development methodology for all its software products. This has significantly shortened the digital product development life cycle while improving the overall quality of Dex One’s digital product offerings.
Banerjea’s teams are responsible for all Enterprise IT and engineering functions in addition to preparing and launching Dex One’s digital products and solutions to the market.
