Mark Cairns moves to EVP of integration and client experience
DALLAS, Jan. 15, 2015 — Dex Media, Inc. (NASDAQ: DXM) CEO Joe Walsh appointed John Wholey as the new EVP of operations and client services as Mark Cairns moves to the role of EVP of integration and client experience.
“John’s track record for reducing operational costs while continually enhancing client service fits perfectly with our goals for transformation at Dex,” Walsh said. “With John on board, Mark can now focus on strategies that will make it easier for local businesses to work with us.”
Wholey joins the company from hibu, where he served as the head of U.S. operations and was responsible for all operational aspects of the business. He oversaw production/fulfillment, publishing, distribution, customer service and sales support for all print and digital product offerings. During his tenure, Wholey continuously improved service to hibu customers while substantially reducing overall operations cost as a percentage of top line revenue for the company.
Prior to that role, John served in the roles of VP/head of contact centers in the U.S. and U.K. as well as VP publishing operations for hibu and its predecessor, Yellowbook. He has extensive experience in the search industry, including work with Bell Atlantic and White Directory Publishers.
Cairns’ new role is to define, manage and improve the client experience business-wide, ensuring client expectations are met and exceeded. He will provide the vision for how Dex Media interacts with its clients to deliver the best experience in the industry.
