Dex One recently partnered with Earth911, Inc. to continue providing recycling options to the public and promote consumer choice options.
The Earth911 Recycling Directory, the largest and most accurate in the nation, provides consumers across the U.S. with information about how to recycle and where to take their recyclable materials, including phone books.
Visitors to the Dex One-sponsored Phone Books section on Earth911.com will find phone book recycling locations and facts as well as consumer choice information.
“We know 70 percent of adults use print directories every year, but they may also use our digital search alternatives, DexKnows.com and DexPages.com, and need fewer directories. Or maybe they use only our digital options and want to opt out completely, said Maggie Stonecipher, Dex One AVP – print, delivery and environmental services. “Dex One is dedicated to offering consumers a choice about available digital options, the directories delivered to them and making sure the directories are recycled.”
“Earth911 is pleased to be working with such a dedicated partner,” said Barry Monheit, Earth911 CEO. “Together, we’re tackling the waste-stream from all angles by addressing how consumers can optimize their print directory preferences and responsibly recycle their phone books at their end-of-life.”
Consumers can make directory quantity changes or opt out altogether on multiple sources, including YellowPagesOptOut.com or DexKnows.com/Green or on Catalog Choice’s website by searching for “Dex” or calling 1-866-60-MY-DEX.
